Fredagen den 28 augusti kl. 22.45 startade i södra Frankriken 16 gasballongen i tävlingen Gordon Bennett. Vinnare blir den som flugit längst inom Europa. Kan finnas chans att några kan komma in över Sverige. 

2005 landade en gasballong vid gränsen mellan Bohuslän och Dalsland. Bilder från landningstillfället finns på www.dalslandsballongklubb.se
